Vitamin Booster Smoothie for a winter cold

Sometimes you just need to vitamin up, especially if a cold is involved. Soothing and refreshing, this one offers a great kick into the right direction. Great way to start the morning too. 

In a blender

  • 1 sliced frozen banana
  • Juice of half lemon
  • Juice of one grapefruit
  • Juice of 3 oranges
  • Handful spinach
  • About a tablespoon of freshly cut ginger cut into pieces

Hit the blend button and bam a nice smoothie. For juicing my oranges, grapefruit and lemon; I do this with a hand press juicer or just squeeze those fruits like there is no tomorrow. I also find that if they come directly from the fridge that the coldness is a nice and soothing for a sore throat. 

This smoothie would also be great in the summer too!
